This privacy policy describes how the personal data of users who visit the website www.hirschen.it and use the contact form are processed, in accordance with Articles 13 and 14 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”).

2. Types of data collected

The following categories of data may be processed through this website:

  • Data provided voluntarily through the contact form: first and last name, email address, phone number, any arrival and departure dates, number of people, room type and the content of the message.
  • Browsing data: the IT systems responsible for the operation of the website acquire, during normal operation, certain data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols (e.g. IP address, browser and operating system type, date and time of the request). Such data are used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information and to ensure the security of the website.

3. Purposes and legal bases of processing

  • Handling contact and booking requests sent through the form: the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at the request of the data subject (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • Sending promotional communications by email (only occasionally and managed manually by the hotel): the legal basis is the data subject's optional consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given by ticking the relevant box in the form. Consent may be withdrawn at any time.
  • Website security and abuse prevention: the legal basis is the controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Method of processing and security

Processing is carried out using IT and electronic tools, with organisational logic strictly related to the stated purposes and by adopting security measures adequate to prevent data loss, unlawful or improper use and unauthorised access.

5. Retention period

The data provided through the contact form are kept for the time necessary to handle the request and for subsequent obligations, and in any case for a period not exceeding 24 months. Data processed on the basis of marketing consent are kept until any withdrawal of consent.

6. Disclosure of data to third parties

Data are not disseminated or transferred to third parties for their own purposes. They may be processed, on our behalf and as data processors, by technical service providers such as the hosting provider of the website and email service. The website also embeds a map provided by Google Maps (Google Ireland Ltd.): when viewing the contacts page, certain technical data may be transmitted to Google according to its privacy policy.
